In the series of styrene-butadiene block copolymers, the invariance of the individual segment transition temperature with composition is adequately demonstrated by the DSC and torsion pendulum results. These independent calorimetric and viscoelastic analyses illustrate the distinct two phase nature of the styrenebutadiene block copolymers and indicate the purity of the phase separations of the "hard" and "soft" segments. However, with butadiene and isoprene block segments in the same copolymer chain, we find for the diene block segments a single Tg region about midway between the Tg regions of the respective butadiene and isoprene homopolymers.
